Job description

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Service & Growth / Account Executive:
  • Coordinate the preparation of effective proposals for Producer to use for renewal/new business. Accompany Producer (as needed) when making proposals and make proposals without Producer when needed/appropriate.
  • Assist Producer with Information Gathering and Underwriting of risks that go into Marketing. Assist Producer with Binding new accounts with Marketing Team and ensuring post-implementation deliverables are met timely by the team.
  • Assist Marketing Team with urgent marketing efforts (as needed).
  • Coordinate the renewal process for existing Private Client Insurance accounts, including: Marketing (as needed to assist Client Managers), Renewal/Supplemental application completion and/or review of Schedules of Coverage with insureds, and confirmation of renewal orders from insureds.
  • Initiate contact with clients periodically to ensure a high-level of client satisfaction.
  • Work with Producer in the evaluation of exposures, loss experience and coverage needs for the clients and prospects.
  • Closely work with Client Managers to ensure renewals are actively being reviewed and competitive pricing and terms are offered for existing clients. Follow up on Non-pays as requested by Producer.
  • Assist Marketing and Client Managers with maintaining thorough documentation through the use and maintenance of marketing files, good transactional filing notes and telephone logs.
  • Work with Claims team to be a liaison during and after claim to ensure high level of client satisfaction.

Business Development:
  • Coordinate and create the delivery of agency value-added resources (e.g. Executive Risk Assessment, Zywave, Loss Prevention, Home Inventory, etc...) as needed for prospects and clients. (work with Practice Group and Resources)
  • Assist Private Client Group with Development projects, as needed (e.g. Renewal Survey, E&O Checklist, PCG Rebranding)
  • Coordinate content for R&Y e-Newsletter and work with Brand Manager to ensure they are sent out quarterly to all Private Client Accounts. (Quarterly)
  • Build and brand Linked-In Profile and presence. Work with Brand Manager for continuous development.
  • Work closely with Producer to build and strengthen relationships with COIs, including hosting webinars, events, trainings, etc to leverage relationships and referral network. (Work with Practice Group)
  • Work closely with the Producer and team to review Lost Business to identify patterns and ways to improve Retention as well as Win-Back Opportunities. (Jordan's book)
  • Develop Cross-sell initiative for other opportunities to sell business (Life, LTC, Disability). (Jordan's book)
  • Develop and maintain Cross-Sell initiatives with carriers (as needed).

Requirements:
  • 4-year college degree.
  • 3+ years Property & Casualty (specifically Private Client) insurance work experience.
  • Prior sales and/or marketing experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty coverages (specifically Private Client).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, customer focus and the ability to work as part of a team with Producer(s) and Client Managers.
  • Good analytical skills for evaluating exposures, controls, loss experience and coverage gaps.
  • Strong ability to research market niches, communicate with carrier marketing departments and underwriters, and develop action plans for new business and renewal efforts.
  • Good computer skills (Sagitta AMS, Word, and Excel software experience preferred).
  • The ability to clearly and effectively communicate via phone, email, in person and in writing.
  • The ability to travel up to 25%.
