Stunt Coordinator – Seasonal
Los Angeles CA | Seasonal | July- Nov
Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group is the nation's leading creator of immersive, story-driven entertainment—and proudly the world's largest operator of Halloween attractions. With eighteen markets spanning Florida to California and millions of guests thrilled each year, we don't just produce events. We redefine what's possible. Headquartered in Denver and powered by a team of fearless creators, we've built a culture where curiosity, collaboration, and a relentless drive to go beyond expectations are the standard—not the exception. When you join Thirteenth Floor, you're not just taking a job. You're stepping into the magic behind the screams.
Returning applicants: If you have worked for Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group in a prior season, please contact your location manager directly regarding rehire status. Do not submit a new application through the online system.
What You'll DoAs our Seasonal Stunt Coordinator at the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, you're the safety authority and performance leader for all stunt operations across our Hayride and Maze attractions. Reporting directly to the General Manager and working alongside the Performance Manager, you'll build and lead a team of skilled stunt performers, own every aspect of rig safety, and ensure the most thrilling moments of our show run flawlessly—and safely—every single night.
Leadership & Staff Management
Oversee all aspects of the stunt team including hiring, scheduling, payroll coordination, and accurate record-keeping to ensure fair compensation
Monitor hours, breaks, and timekeeping for all stunt performers throughout the season
Maintain clear, timely communication with supervisors, vendors, and staff via radio, text, phone, email, and chat platforms
Protect the confidentiality of all sensitive performer information including addresses and contact details
Promote a fair, equitable team environment free from real or perceived conflicts of interest
Step into costume and onto a stunt rig during show hours as needed for training purposes or to cover performer breaks
Training & Team Development
Develop and manage a comprehensive training calendar for all stunt performers, covering pre-season onboarding through mid-season reinforcement
Lead hiring and training sessions to build and retain a skilled, reliable core stunt team for the full duration of the season
Establish and maintain best practices for stunt performance, rig operation, and performer safety
Safety & Operational Excellence
Conduct thorough pre-show safety inspections of all stunt rigs, verifying that all cables, equipment, and rigging are correctly installed and safe for use
Immediately remove any rig that fails inspection from service and notify the General Manager—no rig returns to operation until all issues are fully resolved
Collaborate with the General Manager on regular quality control checks before, during, and after each show
Oversee placement of stunt performers across all attractions, ensuring each position is covered appropriately
Remain actively present throughout the event, continuously checking on performers and enforcing proper break procedures
Respond immediately to any safety concern, equipment malfunction, or performance issue within the attractions
Report all set, prop, or equipment damage to the appropriate departments and keep the General Manager informed of any significant issues
Participate in post-season wrap meetings to review successes and identify improvements for future seasons
What You Bring
Proven expertise in stunt coordination, rig operation, and stunt team management—haunted house or themed entertainment experience strongly preferred
Exceptional attention to safety with a zero-compromise approach to rig inspection and performer wellbeing
Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience managing and developing a seasonal performance crew
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-stakes live event environment
Proficiency in basic computer applications including email, Google Docs, spreadsheets, and word processing
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays throughout the full operational season—rain or shine at Griffith Park
Willingness to appear in costume or makeup for training, operational coverage, or media opportunities as needed
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work comfortably in dark environments with loud noise, strobe lighting, theatrical fog, and close guest proximity
Must be 18 years of age or older
Hourly Rate: $25.00 hr
Employment Type: Seasonal/Temporary
Expected Season Duration: Late July– Early November 2026
Work Schedule: Evenings, weekends, and holidays required during operational season
