Outside Sales Representative
Premier Truck Sales & Rental, Inc. is a national provider of refuse and vocational truck rentals and sales. We specialize in flexible short- and long-term rental programs, rent-to-purchase options, and equipment sales for municipalities and private haulers across the United States. Our business is built on long-term customer relationships, responsive service, and high-quality equipment from leading manufacturers.
Role Overview
Premier is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative responsible for managing and growing customer relationships within an assigned territory, currently focused on the state of Ohio and surrounding states. This role is centered on face-to-face interactions leading to increased sales & rental activity, customer outreach, and long-term account development with municipalities, and fleet operators. Success in this role depends on strong communication, experience in B2B sales, consistent follow-up, close collaboration with Premier's inside sales and rental teams, and a passion for building long-term partnerships.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Actively call on and visit customers and municipalities throughout the state of Ohio & surrounding states
  • Maintain regular in-person visits, calls, and follow-ups with prospects and customers
  • Develop new business while maintaining and growing existing customer accounts
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through delivery and follow-up
  • Serve as the primary outside point of contact for assigned customers and prospects
  • Sell refuse and vocational trucks through sales and rent-to-own solutions
  • Promote & sell Premier's short-term, long-term, and rent-to-purchase programs
  • Build, manage, and update opportunities within the CRM
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings
  • Work closely with inside sales and rental teams to:
    • Clearly define customer ownership and account responsibility
    • Coordinate outreach on shared or split customers
    • Support and protect existing customer relationships
    • Ensure consistent messaging and follow-up
  • Coordinate internally on pricing, specs, availability, delivery timelines, and customer support
  • Attend customer meetings, site visits, and local industry events as needed
  • Represent Premier professionally and consistently as a long-term partner
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets
  • Occasional overnight travel for customer visits and industry events
