As the Event Manager, you'll support clients by ensuring successful program and proprietary event execution. This role serves as a key client partner, managing event details, resolving issues, and representing Derse throughout the event lifecycle. The Event Manager is an in-office position, but may need to travel to oversee setup and event flow, ensuring a seamless experience that meets and exceeds client expectations on behalf of the Derse brand. Event Manager Responsibilities 

  • Provide necessary support for assigned proprietary event clients, while expanding and maintaining relations. 
  • Initiate and prepare job order documents and associate correspondence for all client programs. 
  • Monitor production and planning process to ensure that event deliverables are accomplished within timeline. 
  • Review all change orders, ensuring costs are within budget and accounted for and adhere to event timing.
  • Research and gather appropriate information as it relates to client, event, or account issues.      
  • Maintain an accurate and accountable job file on all event / project activities, and present on highlights where applicable. 
  • Represent Derse, our products, and services within proprietary events and other supported areas to grow client involvement. 
  • Utilize strong organization skills to work independently, and achieve exceeded project expectations. 
  • Travel to client events to supervise set-up, event flow, and handle post-event responsibilities. 
Requirements

Event Manager Requirements & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree within Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or similar required. 
  • Must have 5+ years relevant experience in general event management, and 3+ years experience in proprietary event activations. 
  • Strong client / account relationship management skills. 
  • Ability to travel and support client activations throughout the year. Travel is considered moderate.
