Job Title:Program Coordinator, Regional Campus Visits and EventsDepartment:Newark | General

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Regional Campus Visits and Events, the Program Coordinator will assist with the planning logistics, coordination and implementation of on and off campus events on the campuses of Lima primarily, and assists as needed for events in Mansfield, Marion and Newark. This includes but is not limited to Buckeye Preview Days, Buckeye Bound yield events or receptions, and an annual counselor visit program. The Program Coordinator also supports the execution of other program specific events including those for key strategic academic majors; coordinates logistical aspects and event planning for the Lima campus specific outreach and recruitment events for prospective/admitted freshman and transfer students, their families and school counselors. Reserves on campus and off campus event locations; leads logistical support, communication and collaboration with academic and staff partners from each of the regional campuses. Provides the highest level of customer service when corresponding with students, families, campus departments, or other stakeholders regarding Ohio State visit and event needs, policies, procedures, and general information.

Uses systems such as Salesforce, Peoplesoft and the Blackthorn campus visit registration system to perform timely and accurate entries into databases regarding student information, call/email activity, ensuring timely correspondence and confirming accurate attendance at events. Serves as power user of the Blackthorn registration system and communicates with enterprise team to troubleshoot, resolve, and update platform on a regular basis. In collaboration with the Assistant Director of Regional Campus Visits and Events, ensures use of event surveys so that results may be used to evaluate program effectiveness; develops processes to ensure event feedback is received; and reports out program effectiveness. Assists the Assistant Director of Regional Campus Visits and Events in budget tracking for events by monitoring event expenses, supplies and publication costs.

Travels to local high schools, attending college fairs and other recruitment events to support the office and to promote The Ohio State University at Lima as needed. Works collaboratively with members of undergraduate admissions on the Columbus campus to plan strategic travel, attend local events to recruit students to the university. Represents The Ohio State University at on and off campus recruitment events, campus events or similar. Performs other duties as assigned.

This position will be located on the Lima campus.

Education/Experience

Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required.

Desired: 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Event program planning and implementation desired. Strong organizational or project management skills. Excellent communication skills.
