Job description

Tahoe Donner Association is looking for fun and personable Special Event Staff to join our summer operations! The Special Event Staffassists in the preparation and implementation of special event and recreational program activities of Tahoe Donner Association. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our events by assisting with set-up and breakdown, providing excellent customer service and contributing to the overall success of the event.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, business partners and employees. Ensures all staff meet or exceed the highest level of guest service in the performance of their duties.

Assist members and guests with information regarding special events and recreation activities.

Maintain understanding of Association rules, regulations, and prescribed program guidelines and complies with safety regulations.

Participate with construction, preparation, set-up and dismantling program props, signs, and other equipment as needed. Cleans and maintains recreation area, supplies and equipment.

Attend and actively participates in recreation activities with adults and children.

Assist with coordination and implementation of recreational activities and special events programs.

Ensure clean-up of activities.

We are looking for the following qualifications:

Demonstrates excellent communication and "people skills"; must love engaging and interacting with people.

Must work at least a minimum of 36 hours between January-December to maintain eligibility.

Team oriented ideals, willingness to work hard, and a desire to learn.

Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certifications for infants, children and adults are recommended.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent and one to two years relevant experience and/or training in recreation; or an equivalent combination of formal training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform all of the duties of the position.
