Job description

About AZX
Our mission is to accelerate positive impact in critical industries through AI transformation.
We're growing quickly and already work with category-leaders in real estate (CBRE), energy (LevelTen Energy), logistics (Flexe), and utilities (Puget Sound Energy).
AZX is a public benefit corporation founded in 2024. We were profitable through bootstrapped consulting for the first year. In early 2026, we raised $6M to scale our operations and technology.
We work on challenges in clean energy, decarbonization, climate risk, energy systems, and global economics. We're building our company for long-term success and aim to create the ultimate place to work for those passionate about AI and making a positive impact.
About the Role
As a Marketing Program Manager, you will own the operational machinery and discipline behind every program and campaign we run - the calendar, ABM, funnel, community, and brand - including the handoffs, the performance measurement, and the accountability that keeps them moving. It sits at the intersection of marketing, product, solutions delivery, and sales, and is the person who makes sure all prioritized campaigns, programs, and processes are executing to plan. Asana is the system of record for this work: the expectation is that anyone in the company can open it and know exactly what is running, who owns it, how it's performing, and what's at risk.
What You Will Do
  • Master the operating calendar for all GTM programs, including dependencies across product milestones, deployment timelines, and sales priorities.
    • Day-to-day execution support of demand generation programs targeting a narrow, high-value universe of accounts.
    • Content syndication and paid programs: vendor management, lead delivery and routing, list quality, and an honest assessment of what is producing qualified conversations versus noise.
    • AI search visibility work (AEO/GEO): maintaining the recurring audit and monitoring cadence, and tracking brand citation and mention coverage across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews.
    • Programs built around proof of work - case studies, deployment outcomes, and technical content developed in coordination with solutions delivery and the engineers doing the work.
    • Community and social management across LinkedIn, Reddit, and practitioner forums, where our audience is technical and allergic to marketing language.
    • Campaign infrastructure and data hygiene in the CRM: campaign objects, UTMs, lead sources, lifecycle stages, and attribution that leadership can trust.
    • Funnel and pipeline coordination across sales, marketing, and customer teams: routing, follow-up discipline, feedback loops on lead quality, and visibility into how programs convert into real opportunities.
    • Lightweight, durable processes for intake, prioritization, approvals, and retrospectives, so that program volume can grow without proportional headcount.

Core Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a plus
    • 2+ year's of demonstrated ability to manage many concurrent projects/programs across stakeholders who do not report to you - this is the single most important qualification.
    • Demand generation and funnel management experience, with a clear understanding of pipeline mechanics beyond top-of-funnel volume.
    • Hands-on CRM experience (HubSpot preferred; Salesforce or equivalent acceptable).
    • Working fluency with the modern GTM stack - marketing automation, ad platforms, and adjacent tooling.
    • Strong command of Asana or comparable work management tooling, including the ability to design structures that other people will maintain.
    • Comfort operating with ambiguity and incomplete information, and the judgment to escalate rather than let something quietly slip.
    • Experience marketing complex, solution-oriented platforms into enterprise or institutional buyers with long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles is a plus
    • Background in enterprise SaaS, management consulting, or complex professional services is a plus
    • Direct experience in mission-critical industries - utilities, energy, municipal and public sector, real estate, supply chain, manufacturing, transportation, or defense.

Values and Culture Qualifications
  • Mission aligned-you care about climate, energy, and using technology to solve hard problems. This isn't just a job.
  • Action in ambiguity-you figure out what to do when nobody tells you, and you take ownership of the outcome.
  • Intellectual humility-you'd rather find the right answer than be right.
  • Kind candor-you care about your teammates and speak honestly, without creating unnecessary conflict.
  • Highly productive-you have a track record of getting a lot done.

Other Qualifications (Not required, but a huge plus)
  • Experience in B2B marketing, community management, or event coordination
  • Familiarity with the energy, utilities, climate, or cleantech space
  • Experience at an early-stage startup or building something from scratch
  • Existing network in energy, climate, or AI communities
  • Experience with marketing tools (HubSpot, Mailchimp, social scheduling platforms, etc.)

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $70,000-$95,000 (based on capabilities, experience, and location)
  • Bonus eligibility
  • Equity
  • Health insurance with meaningful coverage for dependents
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Training and learning opportunities
  • Fully remote team
  • Be part of a fast-growing, mission-driven company with industry-leading clients tackling the massive opportunity of AI transformation in critical industries

Logistics
  • Remote, U.S.-based. Seattle, San Francisco, New York, and Boston preferred given event and travel requirements.
  • We are currently unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas.
  • Heavy travel required for client meetings, AZX company events, and industry conferences. This role is on the ground at events regularly.

Next Steps - we want to hear from you!
If this job sounds like a fit, we'd love to hear from you. If you feel aligned to the company but don't check every box, please apply anyway-we'd still love to meet you.
