Godwins Wellness (est. 2022) was founded to support individuals and families dealing with disruptive behavioral health diagnoses or developmental challenges. Our focus is to enhance life skills and promote healthy coping skills needed to flourish within the community. Recognizing a need for an agency that operates with exceptional customer service, the co-founders were motivated to create an organization that treats everyone with dignity and respect. As behavioral health practitioners, we pledge to meet the individual where they are. Our treatment programs are based on person-centered models for rehabilitation, catering to individuals, children, groups, and families. We specialize in providing home, community-based, and on-site behavioral health and therapeutic services in Baltimore City and surrounding counties.

Position Overview:

Godwin's Wellness Services is seeking an experienced Maryland Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical (LCSW-C) to serve as Clinical Director for our behavioral health programs, including the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP).

The Clinical Director provides clinical leadership, supervision, and oversight to Rehabilitation Specialists and other assigned clinical staff. This role ensures services meet agency standards, Medicaid requirements, COMAR regulations, and professional ethical guidelines while promoting quality care and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Clinical Leadership
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to Rehabilitation Specialists.
  • Review and oversee assessments, rehabilitation plans, and clinical documentation.
  • Support staff with treatment planning, clinical decision-making, and complex cases.
  • Ensure services are person-centered, medically necessary, and recovery-oriented.
Quality & Compliance
  • Monitor documentation quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in chart audits, quality assurance, and performance improvement activities.
  • Assist with audits, accreditation reviews, and corrective action planning.
  • Collaborate with billing staff to ensure documentation supports compliant claims.
Staff Development
  • Mentor and develop clinical staff through supervision, coaching, and training.
  • Participate in onboarding and provide clinical input for staff performance evaluations.
  • Promote ethical practice and professional accountability.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Partner with executive leadership and the Program Director to support clinical operations and program development.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and interdisciplinary case reviews.
  • Assist with the development of clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Serve as the agency's clinical resource for complex cases and provide consultation regarding client risk, treatment recommendations, and appropriate levels of care.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active Maryland LCSW-C license in good standing.
  • Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum five (5) years of behavioral health experience.
  • Supervisory or clinical leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Maryland behavioral health regulations, Medicaid, and PRP services.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical documentation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with PRP programs.
  • Experience with Medicaid-funded behavioral health services.
  • Experience with CARF, Joint Commission, or other accreditation standards.
  • Quality assurance or audit experience preferred.
Additional Requirements:
  • Access to a computer or laptop with a microphone and camera and high-speed internet capabilities.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to report to work regular work hours Monday - Friday, with occasional weekends for company events.
