Position Summary
The Builder Maker transforms design concepts into reality, constructing scenic elements, props, and immersive environments for theatrical productions, live events, and themed experiences. This hands-on role requires strong fabrication skills, creative problem-solving, and the ability to deliver high-quality builds under production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct walls, platforms, furniture, and large-scale scenic elements from design specifications.

  • Fabricate with wood, metal, foam, plastics, and composite materials.

  • Operate shop tools including saws, drills, routers, welders, and CNC equipment safely.

  • Collaborate with designers, scenic painters, and production teams to meet artistic and technical requirements.

  • Troubleshoot challenges and adapt builds to achieve creative vision and structural integrity.

  • Support event load-in, installation, strike, and venue restoration as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in carpentry, fabrication, or related field.

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, plus fabrication techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or CAD files.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and passion for high-quality craftsmanship.

  • Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, work long shifts, and adapt to changing environments.
