Production Driver – Seasonal

Position Summary

As a Seasonal Production Driver / Laborer, you will support local event deliveries and assist with loading, unloading, organizing, and handling scenic set pieces, production equipment, tools, and event materials. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, physically capable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely operate company vehicles for deliveries to and from local event locations.

  • Drive 15- to 26-foot box trucks, 16- to 26-foot stake-bed trucks, Ford F-250s, and other assigned company vehicles.

  • Assist with loading and unloading scenic set pieces, production equipment, tools, and event materials.

  • Secure all loads before transportation using straps, tie-downs, moving blankets, and other appropriate equipment.

  • Inspect vehicles and loads before departure and report any safety, mechanical, or maintenance concerns.

  • Follow assigned delivery schedules, routes, parking instructions, loading-dock procedures, and event-site requirements.

  • Assist production crews with staging, organizing, moving, and placing materials at the shop and event locations.

  • Handle scenic pieces and production equipment carefully to prevent damage during loading, transportation, and unloading.

  • Maintain clear communication with the Production Manager, Shop Lead, event staff, and other members of the production team.

  • Keep company vehicles clean, organized, fueled, and ready for use.

  • Complete required mileage, fuel, vehicle inspection, and delivery documentation.

  • Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and vehicle-use procedures.

  • Assist with general production labor and shop-support duties when not actively making deliveries.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience driving 15- to 26-foot box trucks.

  • Previous experience driving 16- to 26-foot stake-bed trucks.

  • Previous experience operating Ford F-250s or similar work vehicles.

  • Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicles being operated.

  • Clean and acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to pass a company motor vehicle record review and any required driving qualification process.

  • Knowledge of safe loading, weight distribution, cargo securement, and transportation practices.

  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.

  • Strong awareness of roadway, vehicle, shop, and event-site safety.

  • Professional attitude and conduct when representing the company.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

  • Availability to work a flexible seasonal schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and changing event schedules.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, climb, push, and pull for extended periods.

  • Ability to safely enter and exit trucks, truck beds, loading areas, docks, and event spaces.

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.

  • Ability to safely use liftgates, ramps, carts, dollies, pallet jacks, straps, and other loading equipment when assigned.

  • Ability to work around large scenic pieces, vehicles, machinery, and active production environments.

What’s Preferred

  • Previous experience supporting live events, haunted attractions, scenic fabrication, entertainment production, warehouse operations, or event logistics.

  • Experience transporting large, fragile, heavy, or irregularly shaped scenic elements.

  • Experience using liftgates, pallet jacks, dollies, carts, ratchet straps, and moving blankets.

  • Familiarity with Southern California roads, event venues, loading docks, and delivery procedures.

  • Forklift certification or related material-handling experience is a plus.

Driver Requirements

Selected candidates must review and sign the company’s Driver Conduct and Responsibility Agreement before operating any company vehicle. All driving assignments are contingent upon compliance with company safety and vehicle-use policies.


Compensation & Employment Details

Hourly Rate: $20 - $25 based on experience. 

Pursuant to California law, the pay scale for this position is listed above. Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group will not request or consider salary history in making compensation decisions.

Employment Type: Seasonal/Temporary

Expected Season Duration: August- November 2026

Work Schedule: Evenings, weekends, and holidays required during the operational season.

This is a seasonal/temporary position with an anticipated end date. Employment beyond the stated season is not guaranteed.
