Job description

Event Coordinator
New Realm Brewing Company – Greenville, SC
Are you a hospitality-minded salesperson who loves turning an inquiry into a booked event? Are you highly organized, competitive, proactive, and energized by managing a busy pipeline? Can you confidently sell an experience, build relationships, manage multiple events at once, and still make every client feel like they are your top priority?
New Realm Brewing Company is seeking a sales-driven Event Coordinator for our Greenville location to lead private and semi-private event sales and coordination.
Our Greenville location has a thriving private events business with significant opportunity for continued growth. With event sales projected to reach approximately $1 million annually, this role requires someone who is comfortable owning a high-volume sales pipeline, aggressively pursuing opportunities, and managing events from the initial inquiry through execution.
This is not simply an event planning position. We are looking for someone who is hungry to sell, motivated by results, and passionate about hospitality.

About the Role
The Event Coordinator is responsible for driving private event revenue while managing the entire client experience from inquiry through event execution.
You will respond to and qualify leads, conduct tours, build proposals, negotiate and close business, coordinate event details, and work closely with our on-site operations and culinary teams to ensure successful execution.
Success in this role requires someone who can balance sales, organization, relationship-building, and hospitality in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate doesn't wait for business to happen—they actively look for opportunities to create it.

Key Responsibilities
Private Event Sales amp; Business Development
  • Manage a high volume of inbound event inquiries via phone, email, website, and in-person leads
  • Respond quickly and professionally to new inquiries and consistently follow up with prospective clients
  • Qualify leads based on event needs, budget, guest count, timing, and space requirements
  • Conduct venue tours and confidently sell New Realm's spaces, food and beverage offerings, and overall event experience
  • Create customized proposals and guide clients toward options that meet both their needs and revenue goals
  • Convert inquiries into contracted events through strong follow-up and relationship building
  • Maintain an organized and active sales pipeline
  • Proactively prospect for new event business through local companies, organizations, planners, networking groups, and community relationships
  • Re-engage previous clients and lost opportunities to generate repeat and new business
  • Identify opportunities to increase event revenue through upgrades, enhancements, food and beverage selections, and additional services
  • Consistently work toward monthly and annual event sales goals
  • Track lead conversion, booked revenue, lost business, and other key sales metrics
Event Planning amp; Coordination
  • Manage events from signed contract through successful execution
  • Clearly communicate contracts, deposits, minimums, fees, payment schedules, deadlines, and venue policies
  • Assist clients with menu selections, beverage packages, layouts, timelines, AV needs, and event logistics
  • Create and distribute accurate BEOs and event documentation
  • Maintain detailed and accurate event information within the event management system
  • Coordinate with the culinary, restaurant, management, and event teams to ensure all event details are communicated
  • Anticipate potential challenges and proactively resolve issues before the event
  • Serve as an on-site point of contact for events as needed
  • Ensure clients receive a high level of hospitality throughout the entire planning and event experience
  • Follow up after events to encourage repeat business, referrals, and long-term client relationships
Sales Management amp; Reporting
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, event calendars, deposits, contracts, and client records
  • Participate in weekly sales and BEO meetings
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, upcoming events, booked revenue, and sales performance
  • Maintain consistent follow-up processes so opportunities do not fall through the cracks
  • Track upcoming availability and strategically sell open dates and spaces
  • Work with leadership to identify sales opportunities, pricing strategies, and areas for revenue growth
Local Relationships amp; Community Engagement
  • Develop relationships with local businesses, corporations, universities, wedding professionals, event planners, nonprofits, and community organizations
  • Represent New Realm at networking opportunities and local industry events when appropriate
  • Develop repeat business and referral relationships within the Greenville market
  • Stay informed about local events, businesses, organizations, and opportunities that could generate private event revenue
  • Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams on initiatives that support private event awareness and lead generation

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in event sales, hospitality sales, event coordination, catering sales, venue sales, or a related role
  • Proven ability to manage and convert a sales pipeline
  • Strong sales instincts and comfort discussing budgets, pricing, minimums, contracts, and closing business
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a large volume of leads and events simultaneously
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Confident conducting venue tours and communicating with corporate clients, planners, and social event hosts
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and provide genuine hospitality throughout the sales process
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of results
  • Experience with Tripleseat, Perfect Venue, or similar event management/CRM software preferred
  • Knowledge of the Greenville hospitality, corporate, wedding, and events market is a plus
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends based on event and business needs
The Person Who Will Thrive Here

You may be a great fit if you are someone who:
  • Gets excited about closing a sale
  • Doesn't need to be reminded to follow up with a lead
  • Enjoys building relationships and generating repeat business
  • Can manage a busy inbox and pipeline without letting opportunities slip through the cracks
  • Understands that speed and persistence matter in event sales
  • Can transition from a sales conversation to detailed event planning without missing a beat
  • Remains calm and solutions-focused when plans change
  • Understands that great hospitality begins long before the guest walks through the door
  • Takes ownership of both the client experience and the revenue goal
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary
  • Commission opportunity tied to event sales
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • A high-volume private events program with significant earning and growth potential
  • A collaborative, fast-paced hospitality environment
