Job description

Lead a team, plan meaningful events, and make every day special for seniors in our community.
We are seeking a creative, organized, and compassionate Activities Director to lead the Life Enrichment program in our Assisted Living community. This is a department head position responsible for creating engaging programs for residents while supervising a team of Activities Assistants.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead a monthly activities calendar that promotes social, physical, and cognitive engagement for residents
  • Serve as the department head for Life Enrichment, overseeing all activities and events
  • Supervise and manage a team of 4 Activities Assistants
  • Coordinate holiday celebrations, special events, entertainment, and resident outings
  • Drive the community bus for outings when needed (training provided)
  • Maintain activity supplies, schedules, and participation records
  • Collaborate with other departments to support a vibrant, resident-centered community
Qualifications
  • Experience in activities, recreation, event planning, senior living, or a related field preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organization and communication abilities
  • Creative, energetic, and resident-focused
  • Must be 25 years or older (insurance requirement for driving the community bus)
  • No special driver's license required
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Schedule:
    • Full Time
    • Some evenings and weekends for special events and outings
