Compensation: $15 hourly, 20 hours a week Part time, non-benefitted

Context of Job:

The Sales & Service Coordinator, at the University of Delaware is a valued member within the University and Department of Athletics, Community and Campus Recreation (DACCR), upholding and embracing the departmental mission of "Achieving Excellence Together." The Sales & Service department of Delaware Athletics is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented individual looking to jumpstart their career in college athletics. This is an opportunity to gain exposure to all facets of Division I athletics administration through the day-to-day operation of a comprehensive Sales & Service office.

Major Responsibilities: 

Operations

  • Recruit, hire, train and schedule part-time Sales & Service office staff, which includes part-time employees, student interns and event day staff.
  • Manage 50/50 Raffle for select athletic events o Assist managers with event setup and game day operations.

Sales

  • Provide a high level of customer service to fans and donors.
  • Build and maintain records of all prospects and customers within Ticketing/CRM database.
  • Contact area businesses and individuals via phone, in-person appointments and networking events to sell season tickets, corporate, hospitality and group ticket plans.
  • Market ticket opportunities at external events and local businesses (tabling, poster drop-offs).

Event Sales 

  • Assists with contracting, event planning, collecting deliverables, and the financial reconciliation process for all internal/external camps, events, rentals, etc.
  • Respond to rental inquiries and build an initial file. o Research and maintain a list of prospective events.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to handle information in a confidential, objective, and professional manner.
