Internship Summary
As a Director of Sales and Marketing SkillBridge Intern at Juniper Communities, you will gain hands-on leadership experience managing community outreach, occupancy strategy, and lead generation in a senior living environment. You'll help develop and implement marketing initiatives, build and maintain referral networks, and guide prospective residents and their families through the decision-making journey-all while coordinating internal team efforts to drive community occupancy.
This internship blends strategic planning, performance management, and relationship-building across digital and in-person channels. You'll also gain exposure to market analysis, branding, and the operational alignment of sales goals with broader organizational strategy.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage community sales efforts including prospecting, lead tracking, and closing
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources and community partners
  • Lead and coach the Sales and Marketing team
  • Implement marketing plans and track performance metrics
  • Develop and maintain a community outreach and networking calendar
  • Ensure compliance with Juniper's values and regulatory policies
  • Create and oversee the move-in process and welcome experience for new residents
  • Provide customer service and tour training for staff
  • Maintain CRM accuracy and sales reporting
  • Collaborate across departments to support community-wide events and campaigns
  • Monitor and manage department budgets, supplies, and reporting

Educational/Vocational Requirements:
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred
  • Prior experience in sales, marketing, recruiting, or public engagement
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, CRM systems)
  • Understanding of the aging population's needs is a plus

Compensation Range:
If hired after the internship the target compensation range is $70K - $82K. This compensation can vary depending on experience level, certifications, and other factors.
