Job description

A global investment and transformation firm is seeking an Event Planner to support high-impact events and strategic convenings across the startup, technology, and policy ecosystem. This role will focus on planning and executing intimate executive-level gatherings, networking events, policy-focused dinners, investor events, and large-scale summits that bring together founders, investors, policymakers, and industry leaders.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented event professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys creating thoughtful, elevated experiences.
This will be a hybrid position.
Responsibilities
• Plan and execute a variety of events, including dinners, receptions, networking events, happy hours, roundtables, and summits
• Support end-to-end event management from concept through execution and post-event reporting
• Coordinate logistics, including venue sourcing, vendor management, catering, guest communications, registration, event setup/breakdown, and onsite troubleshooting
• Develop and manage timelines, budgets, run-of-show documents, and event briefs
• Ensure events align with brand standards, strategic priorities, and attendee experience goals
• Provide on-site support for evening events and occasional travel as needed
• Partner closely with internal leadership, investors, and cross-functional teams to support event strategy and execution
• Coordinate communications with guests, speakers, vendors, and external partners
• Assist with attendee management, invitation tracking, seating, and VIP coordination
• Support post-event surveys, reporting, and feedback analysis to improve future programming
• Assist with planning and execution of large-scale summits, activations, and third-party industry events

Experience

• Experience within venture capital, startups, technology, policy, or community-focused organizations
• Exposure to executive-level events, government affairs, trade associations, think tanks, or advocacy organizations
• Familiarity with the Washington, DC event landscape including private venues, embassies, and policy-focused event spaces
• Experience supporting high-profile or security-sensitive events is a plus
