Job description

Job Title: Event Operations Crew Department: Events & Entertainment
Reports To: Events & Entertainment Coordinator Exempt or Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt
Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the duties, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. If requested, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Core Functions:
  • Implement the setup and breakdown of all events and home games as directed by the Events & Entertainment Department
  • Attend training as required to cultivate a high standard of safety and quality in event execution procedures
  • Dispense and maintain event supplies and equipment as assigned by the Events & Entertainment Coordinator
  • Assist the Events Department with transportation and escorting of cheerleaders, mascot, current and former players, and coaches during high profile events (i.e. Ring of Honor Ceremony, Draft Party, etc.)

Work Environment:
  • This is a professional, fast paced, creative business environment
  • Extended evening, weekend work hours sometimes required; availability to work all home games is required; may have to work occasional holidays
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 25 events annually (This includes all home games and setup)
  • High demand work environment in executing work on short deadlines
  • Sitting, standing, working with hands for extended periods of time
  • This position calls for a great deal of physical exertion, requiring the ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Operation of equipment and vehicles
  • Moving supplies, equipment, and inventory
  • Setting up and tearing down equipment such as tables, signage, banners, flags, etc.

  • The ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of accuracy and order in the completion of all tasks
  • Professionalism throughout every interaction, in-person and through all forms of correspondence
  • Attention to detail throughout all assignments and transactions
  • A work ethic that is collaborative, resourceful, and resilient
  • The dependability to handle responsibilities autonomously and find resolution in varied circumstances
  • Clear and timely communication with superiors and colleagues throughout all assignments, regarding work scheduling, and especially when assisting with urgent situations
  • The aptitude to effectively read, analyze, and execute based on logistical documents including production outlines, timelines and diagrams
  • The ability to be fan-facing and provide excellent guest service and experiences
  • Basic technological proficiency with aptitude to learn (i.e. Microsoft Office, Web-based Scheduling Applications, Mobile Ticketing Applications, Smartphone Communications, etc.)

Experience & Education:
  • Experience in Hospitality, Event Production, Sports Management or Recreation is preferred
  • Mechanically and operationally inclined past work experience is a plus
