Job Description
The Building and Event Assistant is a part-time, hourly support position which is responsible for supporting the daily operations, hospitality, and event execution of the facility. This role serves as a point of contactfor visitors, ensures smooth logistics for internal and external events, and helps maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organized environment.
Part-Time, Up to 20 hours weekly.
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent education required.
1 year of experience in hospitality, event support, customer service, or a related field.
Strong interpersonal, public relations, and communication skills to engage effectively with diverse visitors.
Must be available and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends based on event needs.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and independently with minimal supervision.
Basic problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintaining facility safety and cleanliness.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in hospitality, event management, or communications.
Physical Demands
This job operates in a dynamic event and public-facing environment.
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving about the facility to conduct tours and monitor spaces.
Physical ability to assist with event logistics, including lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 40 lbs. occasionally to set up tables, chairs, and equipment.
Routine use of basic audiovisual equipment, lighting controls, and facility management tools.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
1. Welcome, host, and conduct informative tours of the building for visitors, community members, and prospective clients.
2. Provide exceptional customer service and accurate information regarding the facility, its history, and upcoming events.
3. Coordinate and execute the physical setup and tear-down of events, including arranging tables, chairs, signage, and basic AV equipment.
4. Collaborate with internal departments and staff to facilitate and support internal programming and events.
5. Monitor the facility during shifts to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment for all guests.
6. Serve as the on-site liaison for event hosts, vendors, and attendees, responding to immediate inquiries and troubleshooting logistics in real-time.
7. Ensure spaces are locked, secured, and properly reset at the conclusion of events or building hours.
8. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the facility's operations.
