Business Development & Marketing Manager

[Portland, OR]  Job Type: Full-Time | Compensation: $60,000-$85,000 Base + Commission

What You'll Do
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the restoration, mitigation, and construction markets
  • Build and maintain relationships with plumbers, property managers, insurance agents, adjusters, realtors, and other referral partners
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to referral sources throughout your assigned market
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, chamber meetings, and community events to grow brand presence
  • Head-hunt and run business-to-business marketing efforts to generate new leads
  • Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, and service agreements
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand market share and drive revenue growth
  • Manage your pipeline and track activity using CRM tools
  • Follow up consistently with referral partners to strengthen long-term relationships
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in every interaction
What We're Looking For

We care more about drive, relationships, and industry know-how than checking boxes on a resume. The following are preferred, not required:

  • Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, plumbing, insurance, or property management
  • A proven track record of generating and closing new business
  • Existing relationships with insurance agents, adjusters, plumbers, property managers, or real estate professionals
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce or similar)
  • A self-motivated, "hunter" mentality with strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Comfort with cold calling, in-person sales visits, and business-to-business marketing
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications is a plus, but not required - real-world experience and results matter most
  • High knowledge of the industry and how it operates

Bringing an existing book of business or an established client list is a major advantage and will be heavily favored in our hiring process.
