Position Summary

Under general supervision from the Event Manager, as a member of the Guest Services Event Staff Team, you will be an essential part of the guest experience and help build memories that last a lifetime. In this role, you will wear many different hats and have the potential to work in several different areas of the arena. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, ushering, concourse customer service, and greeter and/or team-related services. You will have the opportunity to assist our guests by offering directions and sharing information while creating a world-class experience. Your job will be to keep our fans safe and informed while still maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere.

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00.

About the Venue

Oak View Group (OVG) is the venue manager and food and beverage provider of SoFi Center, a first-of-its-kind venue located in Palm Beach Gardens on the campus of Palm Beach State College. SoFi Center will be the home of the WTGL and TGL Golf Leagues, WTGL/TGL presented by SoFi, which combine advanced technology with teams of top players from the LPGA and PGA TOURS for two-hour weekly competitions in prime time. The arena will seat about 1,500 people and feature matches between teams from major cities across the USA. 

Responsibilities
  • Prepare your assigned section for guests; this could include wiping down seats, looking for potential hazards, and reporting any issues to a supervisor.
  • When gates open, welcome our fans with a great smile and helpful attitude.
  • Guide the foot traffic flow of large crowds
  • Assist fans in locating their ticketed seats.
  • Assist suite guests by providing proper wristbands for high-security areas
  • Being alert and proactive to potential hazards and reporting incidents when they occur.
  • Monitor your assigned area for issues and opportunities to make lasting memories for our fans.
  • Respond to all guest concerns/complaints promptly and in a professional manner.
  • Assist guests in ADA-accessible seating sections.
  • Adhere to all building policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
  • Be knowledgeable about the venue's emergency evacuation plan in order to safely assist guests during the unlikely event of an emergency.
  • Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
  • 6+ months of previous experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must love working with and helping people.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • You must be able to maintain a positive attitude while handling difficult situations.
  • Flexible schedule: Availability to work independently as well as as part of a team; weekend availability is needed.
