Norwood Hills Country Club is seeking a highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented Event Manager. This role is responsible for end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of private social functions, weddings, corporate events, and internal member activities. Working closely with culinary, food and beverage, and golf operations, the Event Manager ensures every event reflects the high standards, hospitality, and prestige of the Club.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

1. Event Planning & Operations

  • Full-Lifecycle Management: Plan, organize, and execute private events (weddings, banquets, golf outings, corporate meetings) and recurring member social functions from initial contact through post-event wrap-up.
  • Client Consultation: Meet with hosts and member organizers to establish event scope, room layouts, audio/visual requirements, timelines, and special accommodations.
  • BEO Creation & Distribution: Draft detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and lead weekly operational reviews to communicate event requirements clearly across service, kitchen, and facilities teams.

2. Menu Planning & F&B Coordination

  • Menu Curation: Collaborate with the Chef and Food & Beverage team to design high-end menus, catering packages, and bar service tailored to event themes and budgets.
  • Day-of Execution: Oversee banquet set-up, table styling, floor plans, and service flow to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest satisfaction during live events.

3. Communication & Promotion

  • Marketing Collaboration: Work alongside the Marketing and Communications team to ensure event flyers, digital signage, and email announcements adhere to club branding standards and promotional timelines.
  • Member Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for members during events, gathering live feedback and building personal relationships across generations.

4. Financial & Administrative Management

  • Budgeting & Billing: Prepare event estimates, track expenses, collect deposits, and finalize event billing accurately in accordance with club financial policies.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate third-party vendors (florists, DJs, decor rentals, photographers), ensuring compliance with club policies and insurance requirements.
