Position Highlights

Every 7th Weekend1 Holiday Per YearNo/Limited CallTHIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR UP TO A $10,000 SIGN ON BONUSJob Duties: Under the direction of the Lab Manager, a MLT performs work of waived moderate and high complexity levels, involving all aspects of the clinical lab. The MLT utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural andproblem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day Laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related duties.Under the direction of the Lab Manager, the Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties including waived, moderate and highly complex testing. Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-today laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuing education.
Education/Licensure: Associate's degree in MLT or laboratory science from an accredited two-year college or technical school required or Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in clinical science or satisfactory grade in HHS exam and 6 years working experience as a MLT required. MLT-ASCP board certified or NCA certified preferred. BLS certified or must be obtained within 1 week of hire. Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) and DOT Drug Testing certified or able to obtain within one year from date of hire. Department of Transportation Specimen Collection Certificate preferred or able to obtain within one year from date of hire. Valid driver's license required.The starting hourly pay for a Medical Laboratory Technician is $28.80 per hour and Medical Laboratory Scientist is $32.36 per hour.
