What is an event curator?

Event Curators are professionals responsible for designing, organizing, and overseeing events such as conferences, exhibitions, festivals, and cultural gatherings. They select themes, speakers, artists, and activities to create a cohesive and engaging experience for attendees. Event Curators often collaborate with stakeholders, manage logistics, and ensure that the event aligns with its intended purpose and audience. Their work requires creativity, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the subject matter or industry relevant to the event.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an event curator?

To thrive as an Event Curator, you need expertise in event planning, knowledge of cultural trends, and often a background in arts, communications, or a related field. Familiarity with event management software, budgeting tools, and sometimes certifications in event planning are commonly required. Strong networking, creativity, and organizational skills help set standout curators apart. These abilities enable the successful conception, coordination, and execution of engaging events that meet both audience and stakeholder goals.

What are some common challenges faced by event curators and how can they be managed effectively?

Event Curators often encounter challenges such as balancing creative vision with logistical constraints, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and adapting to unforeseen changes during planning or execution. Effective communication, meticulous organization, and flexibility are key to overcoming these hurdles. Building strong relationships with vendors and collaborators, as well as having contingency plans in place, can help ensure smooth event execution and allow curators to focus on delivering a memorable attendee experience.

Job Description

Lead Curator

Bring Luxury Events to Life

About Us

At Curated Events, we don’t just deliver rentals—we set the stage for unforgettable moments. As a market leader in luxury event rentals, we collaborate with the area’s top venues, designers, planners, caterers, and universities to craft show-stopping experiences. From stunning tents to design-forward details, our award-winning team is known for Service. Selection. Style. Delivered.

We’re looking for ambitious leaders who thrive in high-energy environments, love the rush of bringing a vision to life, and want to be part of a team that transforms spaces into something extraordinary.

The Role

As a Lead Curator, you’re the quarterback of our on-site installation crew. You’ll lead by example, oversee flawless setups, and serve as the face of Curated Events while guiding your team to success. This is hands-on leadership at its best—driving, building, lifting, and curating the details that make luxury events come alive.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead & Inspire: Mentor, train, and guide crews to deliver seamless installations.
  • Be the Face: Represent Curated Events on job sites, delighting clients with solutions and confidence.
  • Deliver Excellence: Safely load, transport, and set up our high-end rental inventory—always on time and in perfect condition.
  • Master the Craft: Showcase your expertise in tenting, flooring, and luxury event setups.
  • Set the Standard: Enforce top-tier safety, quality, and efficiency across every project.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven leader with on-site installation experience (tents, flooring, large-scale setups a plus).
  • Strong, reliable, and driven—able to lift, carry, and work in all conditions.
  • A mentor at heart who thrives on teamwork and helping others grow.
  • Licensed driver with a clean record and confidence behind the wheel of company vehicles.
  • Dependable, detail-obsessed, and ready to make an impact on every event.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of an award-winning luxury brand that’s redefining event rentals.
  • Experience the excitement of transforming blank spaces into breathtaking venues.
  • Build leadership skills in a role where no two days are ever the same.
  • Enjoy a collaborative, supportive culture with room to grow.

Work Environment

This isn’t a desk job—you’ll be in the field, leading your team through outdoor installations in all kinds of weather, with evenings and weekends when events demand. If you love variety, action, and being part of something bigger, this is the role for you.

Status: Non-Exempt
