Position: Manager, Events - Full Time/Exempt
Reports to: Director, Events
Insignia Event Services is a leading event solutions provider, directly affiliated with the Arizona Cardinals, proudly producing all events at State Farm Stadium, including Arizona Cardinals home games. Complementing the events at State Farm Stadium, Insignia Event Services exclusively manages Sportsman's Park and Heritage at Sportsman's Park, offering flexible venues for everything from pre-game activities and tailgating to concerts, festivals, corporate events, and graduations. Our services range from full-service event production, staging, and equipment rental to live presentation and transportation logistics, making us a trusted partner for exceptional events in Arizona.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Events, the Events Manager leads the planning, coordination, and execution of events for Insignia Event Services across all phases - pre-event, event day, and post-event. This role oversees all components of contracted events, including setup, décor, F&B, AV, and staffing, while partnering cross-functionally to deliver seamless client experiences. The Events Manager also plays a critical leadership role in hiring, training, and developing a team of part-time event leads to ensure scalable, consistent execution.
The ideal candidate is a strong operator and team leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates sound judgment, and consistently delivers high-quality results.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of events, ensuring alignment with client expectations and operational standards

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal partners and external vendors across all event details

  • Develop and manage event plans encompassing logistics, timelines, staffing, and production elements

  • Manage event financials including budgets, P&Ls, and reconciliation to ensure profitability and cost control

  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, production, and venue teams to ensure seamless execution

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop part-time event leads and support staff

  • Create scalable training materials, playbooks, and SOPs that drive consistency and continuous improvement across site plans, layouts, and execution standards

  • Provide on-site leadership and direction to event teams, ensuring accountability and performance standards are met

  • Oversee staffing and resource allocation to ensure efficient labor utilization

  • Lead pre-event briefings and post-event recaps

  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, legal, and insurance requirements

  • Stay informed on industry trends to enhance experience, efficiency, and innovation

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, event management, or related field preferred

  • 5+ years of event management or coordination experience

  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage staff in a fast-paced, live-event environment

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and event profitability

  • Working knowledge of audio-visual production, including sound and basic staging requirements
