Job description

Proman Skilled Trades is seeking skilled Event Carpenters / Scenic Builders who blend structural expertise with architectural refinement. You will build safe, multi-level temporary structures and execute flawless, high-end finishes. This project will take is located in the Austin, TX area.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Structural Construction: Build large-scale event installations, framing, and flooring platforms safely from complex blueprints and design renders.
  • Finishing & Detailing: Apply high-end finishes (trim, millwork, seamless joints) across diverse materials including hardwoods, acrylics, and composites.
  • Logistics & Execution: Manage rapid "load-in" builds under tight deadlines, troubleshoot structural issues on-site, and execute clean, efficient strikes.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Dual Expertise: Proven experience in both heavy structural framing and precision finish carpentry.
  • Material & Tool Expertise: Deep knowledge of material behavior (stress, humidity, finishes) and mastery of standard shop/site tools.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably on ladders and scaffolding in active build environments.


Pay:

  • $30/HR + (Based on Experience)
