Job description

Event Associate

Bring celebrations/events to life in a one-of-a-kind museum setting! The Westmoreland Museum of American Art is hiring for a dependable, energetic Banquet Event Associate to create a positive and enjoyable experience for guests while ensuring Museum property is always kept safe, clean and properly maintained.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Transform event spaces before and after weddings, showers, parties, and special events.
  • Assist with bar service at events (must be or be willing to become RAMP certified)
  • Dishwash
  • Work evenings and weekends as needed (2-5 hours per week)

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • Friendly, professional, and reliable team player
  • Ability to lift, set up, and move event equipment (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Prior experience in events or hospitality a plus

Responsibilities:

- Assisting with table and chair set up and breakdown

- Assisting with food and beverage preparation, setup and clean up

- Cleaning, recycling and ensuring a clean environment at all times

- Placing event dรฉcor, linens, table settings, etc.

- Greeting vendors and guests and directing them as appropriate

- Enforcing venue policies and procedures

- Answering questions and providing directions

- Following Museum safety procedures in performing all duties of the job

- Performing other duties as assigned by the Events Manager.

This position is Part-time, less than 20 hours per week with an irregular schedule. Events known at least a month in advance,
