Event Host (Part-Time)
Port Jeff Bowl
Port Jefferson Station, NY
Part-Time | Weekends Required
Pay: Negotiable Based on Experience
About the Role
Port Jeff Bowl is seeking an energetic, friendly, and dependable Event Host to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and creating memorable experiences for guests. Event Hosts play a key role in ensuring our birthday parties, fundraisers, social gatherings, corporate events, and live music nights run smoothly from start to finish.
Availability on Saturdays and Sundays is required.
Responsibilities
- Host and oversee birthday parties, fundraisers, social events, and corporate events
- Assist with live music events on Saturday nights
- Set up event spaces prior to guest arrival
- Serve food and beverages during events
- Assist guests and event organizers throughout the event as needed
- Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere
- Clean up event areas following event completion
- Work closely with other team members to ensure successful event execution
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional attitude
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform light lifting during event setup and cleanup
- Previous hospitality, restaurant, event, or customer service experience is a plus but not required
