Description
Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Knoxville (AESC Knoxville) is seeking an experienced Evening Veterinary Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing emergency and specialty veterinary team.
As a premier emergency and specialty animal hospital, AESC Knoxville is committed to providing exceptional veterinary care and compassionate client support 24 hours a day. We are looking for a client-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping pets and their families during critical moments.
At AESC Knoxville, our Client Service Representatives play a vital role in creating a positive experience for clients and patients. As the first point of contact for pet owners, you will provide compassionate support, exceptional customer service, and seamless communication between clients and our veterinary teams.

Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
Client Service & Communication
  • Welcome clients and patients with professionalism, empathy, and compassion
  • Manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently
  • Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries
  • Provide updates regarding patient status and treatment plans
  • Assist clients during emergency situations with calm and confidence
  • Maintain accurate patient and client records
  • Schedule appointments, specialty consultations, and referrals
  • Coordinate communication between veterinary staff and clients
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and confidentially
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
  • Process invoices and payments accurately
  • Handle point-of-sale transactions and financial documentation
  • Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist clients with billing questions and payment options
  • Educate clients on treatment plans, discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up care
  • Provide guidance on preventative care recommendations
  • Address client concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Support pet owners through emergency and specialty care visits

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of veterinary client service, veterinary receptionist, or veterinary customer service experience
  • Experience in an emergency veterinary hospital or specialty veterinary practice is preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Proficiency with veterinary software and point-of-sale systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
  • Comfortable working in a busy emergency and specialty setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Compassionate and client-focused mindset
  • Passion for animal health and veterinary medicine
