While both relate to employment standards, they serve different functions: one is a medical test, the other a driving credential.

What is an evening urine test for CDL drivers?

An evening urine test for CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) holders is a drug screening typically conducted in the evening hours to detect the presence of drugs or alcohol in a driver's system. These tests are required by the Department of Transportation (DOT) to ensure commercial drivers are not operating vehicles under the influence, which helps maintain road safety. The test checks for substances such as marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, and PCP. Testing may be scheduled or random, and passing is often necessary to keep or obtain a CDL job.
