Many CDL trucking companies accept applicants with felony records, but policies vary by employer. Could you get a CDL with a bad driving record?

Having a bad driving record can make it more difficult to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), as driving history is a key factor in the licensing process. Many states and employers require a clean driving record, and serious violations or accidents may lead to disqualification or additional scrutiny during the application process. However, some violations may be waived or mitigated with time, training, or additional documentation.

What jobs can I get with a bad driving record?

With a bad driving record, job options such as warehouse work, construction, manufacturing, or delivery jobs that do not require a clean driving history are available. These roles often focus on physical skills and may not require driving privileges or have less strict background checks related to driving history.
