Job description

Overview
Gift Shop Attendants provide exceptional service for our guests, process cash and card transactions, keep the gift shop stocked, tidy, and organized, and perform other related duties. This position will work at both Grande Cayman Resort and Ocean Reef Resort.
‎Responsibilities
Gift Shop Attendant responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provides prompt, efficient, and courteous service to guests at all times
  • Maintains the daily operation of the gift shop within the guidelines of retail operating procedures
  • Collects payment for merchandise and follows all cash handling policies and procedures
  • Assists in merchandising functions including display and store design, inventory receiving, stocking, and merchandise pricing
  • Assists guests by suggesting products based on immediate needs and upselling products
  • Sweep, dust, clean, and organize merchandise and gift shop
  • Promptly report or resolve any guest complaints or issues in the store
  • Reports any unsafe work condition
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What are we looking for?
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays
  • Candidates must be available to work evening shifts from 5:00 PM-10:00 PM and 6:00 PM-10:00 PM.
  • Candidates must have prior customer service experience
  • Passion for providing exceptional service to guests and team members
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers and supervisors
