Job description

Key Responsibilities:
Executes and is responsible for basic alteration services (i.e. Hemming, patch and repair, tapering, etc.) and more technical alterations (e.g. Fitting/tailoring items other than jeans, where more technical equipment is necessary; detailed appearance altering processes.) Exemplifies and possesses strong customer service skills to elevate our clients experience. Educates and trains store teams on customer offerings and services provided by the Tailor Shop.
Job Requirements:
Thorough understanding of denim industry and current/upcoming trends. Understanding of textiles and fabrics with proven skills in sewing, tailoring and textile repair. Awareness of design and details strong communication skills both internally and externally.
Education:
Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred
Formal Training in apparel design preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of sewing/tailoring experience and a strong knowledge of jeans construction
Thorough knowledge of machines used in the sewing of denim products.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of the job the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear, use hands to type and utilize the tools of tailor shop. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, lift, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
Schedule Requirements:
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening and weekend shifts.
