As a Security Officer Alarm Monitoring in Shepherdsville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking lots, entry and exit points, trailers, dock doors, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
  • Observe and report unusual activity, facility conditions, damaged property, and potential hazards while maintaining detailed shift and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least six months of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
