Security Sales Consultant
Milton, DE
Overview: Our client is seeking a Security Sales Consultant to join their growing team in Milton, Delaware. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling a comprehensive range of security services and technology to both new and existing customers within an assigned territory that includes Dover, the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and Southern Maryland.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales, particularly in a technical field, and the ability to generate new business while also managing existing accounts. Your primary focus will be on commercial sales, with some responsibility for high-end residential clients.
Responsibilities:
*Generate new market share by selling security products and services to new commercial and residential customers.
*Manage existing accounts by selling additional products and services, amending and converting existing systems, and renewing customer agreements.
*Prospect for new business using creative lead-generating techniques, including cold calling and email outreach.
*Establish and execute call plans and customer follow-up strategies, effectively managing your time and territory.
*Maintain an in-depth, technical knowledge of complete line of products and services, as well as an understanding of customer needs and issues.
*Conduct post-installation follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and affirm that all commitments have been met.
*Process work orders and complete all necessary paperwork in accordance with approved company procedures.
*Obtain referrals and work with other professionals to expand your network.
Required Skills and Experience:
*Experience: Minimum 2 years of successful commercial/residential outside sales experience in a technical field (e.g., security, IT, or another technology-related industry).
*Technical Knowledge: Must have some technical or mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate with customers about products and provide estimates.
*Communication: Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills are required to professionally interact with customers.
*Education: High school degree or equivalent is required; college degree is preferred.
Other Requirements:
**Must be able to pass a drug screening and a background check.
**Must be able to obtain a State of Delaware security alarm employee license.
**A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
**Ability to work a full-time schedule, with some evening meetings to accommodate customer schedules.
