Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to provide therapeutic services from a location that suits your needs while still participating in our vibrant organizational culture. You'll enjoy the flexibility of remote work while remaining engaged with an interdisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health specialists. Our work hours are generally Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening hours required based on client appointments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and substance use issues, determining the presence of co-occurring disorders through structured interview techniques and diagnostic tests.
• Collaborate closely with clients to craft individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based interventions that focus on mental health stability and substance use recovery.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on developing essential coping strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and skills for emotional regulation to empower clients in their healing journey.
• Engage regularly in multidisciplinary case discussions to optimize integrated care and ensure all aspects of a client's health are addressed effectively.
• Utilize motivational interviewing and other therapeutic modalities to monitor clients' substance use and encourage proactive engagement in their recovery process.
• Educate clients and their families about the interplay between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment plans.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of clients' treatment progress in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines, which is critical for continuous care and accountability.
• Participate in case conferences, ongoing staff training, and contribute to a shared learning atmosphere that enhances treatment methodologies related to co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing co-occurring disorders, who face not only mental health challenges but also a history of substance use. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique struggles these clients encounter, as well as the application of targeted interventions to support their recovery journey. The diverse population may include adults and adolescents, each presenting with their own complexities and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic practices particularly relevant to co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• A strong comprehension of the existing literature and best practices surrounding the co-relations between mental health and substance use issues.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and work collaboratively within a team framework.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a clinical setting providing therapy to clients with co-occurring disorders.
• Familiarity with healthcare documentation systems and patient management software.
• Experience in community health or public health settings, particularly in integrated care models.

Compensation and Benefits
