EvenCare Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is designed for professionals with a passion for delivering integrated mental health services through a telehealth platform. As a key member of our practice, you will work remotely while providing essential support to patients with both psychiatric and medical complexities.

About the Organization

EvenCare Counseling Center is a pioneering provider of mental health services in Seattle, Washington. We specialize in a holistic approach to therapy, understanding that mental health and physical health are intricately linked. Our interdisciplinary team, comprised of psychiatrists, physicians, and therapists, works collaboratively to ensure comprehensive care for our clients. As the mental health component of an integrated care model, we are committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals with co-occurring conditions, including chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use issues.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while staying connected with our team via telehealth technology. Our virtual setting fosters a collaborative atmosphere where you can engage with colleagues across disciplines, exchange insights, and contribute to treatment planning. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient demands. All necessary equipment will be provided to ensure you can effectively deliver care from your chosen workspace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth mental health assessments utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews, taking into account the impact of medical conditions on patients' psychological well-being.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate both psychiatric and medical considerations, working closely with our medical team to provide cohesive patient care.

  • Offer individual and group therapy sessions that employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, and motivational interviewing.

  • Engage in regular collaboration with healthcare providers, encouraging open communication to ensure all aspects of a patient's health are addressed effectively.

  • Provide crisis intervention services and support during mental health emergencies, helping to stabilize patients and determine the necessary follow-up care.

  • Enhance patient education by discussing the interrelationship between mental health and physical health, empowering clients to actively participate in their own treatment.

  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation aligned with both legal standards and ethical guidelines, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient case management.

  • Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary care conferences to continuously improve service delivery and contribute to care plans.

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health care through ongoing education, professional development opportunities, and literature review.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse population of clients who present with complex medical and psychiatric needs. Our client base includes individuals battling co-occurring disorders such as chronic pain syndromes, autoimmune diseases, and substance use disorders. This role allows you to make a significant impact by addressing how these diagnoses intersect and affect overall mental health.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

  • Holder of a current and valid license as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington State.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in providing mental health treatment for clients with co-occurring medical conditions.

  • Experience working collaboratively within an integrated care model, showing a history of effective teamwork with healthcare professionals.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly with clients.

  • Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical standards, and safeguarding patient confidentiality.

  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to improving patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably within integrated or collaborative care.

  • Experience in a remote work setting or telehealth practice is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 โ€“ 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits package to support your well-being.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions, promoting your financial security.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay, recognizing the importance of work-life balance.
