As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, your contributions will shape the therapeutic experience of our young adult clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead engaging group sessions where clients can share experiences, learn from peers, and foster a supportive community.
• Individual Counseling Sessions: Provide empathetic and client-centered therapy that encourages clients to explore their thoughts and emotions, develop coping methods, and outline actionable plans for their mental health journey.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to create personalized, goal-focused treatment plans that directly address their unique challenges and aspirations.
• Progress Monitoring: Utilize a variety of assessment tools to track client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed based on their evolving needs and feedback.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals to ensure the highest quality of care, maintaining open communication and coordinating care for complex cases.

The Albany Health Care Center specifically supports young adults aged 18 to 30 through its Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Our clients often face a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. Additionally, candidates must hold a current LPCC license in California and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing quality mental health care to young adults. You should have excellent communication skills, a genuine passion for promoting healing and transformation, and a flexible mindset to adapt to the needs of diverse clients.

While experience working with young adults in an outpatient or community psychiatric setting is preferred, we highly value a strong individual motivation to learn and grow professionally in the mental health field. Experience with contemporary therapeutic modalities and group management is advantageous.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, reflective of your experience and qualifications.
