Job description

Regulatory Analyst (Beauty and Personal Care)
Posting Start Date: 6/4/26
Posting Location: Ada (Grand Rapids), MI
Requisition ID: 43126
Job title: Regulatory Analyst (Beauty and Personal Care)
Department / Division: Global Regulatory & Product Safety / R&D
Salary Range: $78,108/yr - $96,486/yr, plus Bonus
Location: Ada, MI (Onsite)
What we're Looking for:
In this role, the Senior Regulatory Analyst will monitor global ingredients of concern as they apply to Amway's Beauty, Personal Care, and Homecare product lines. This involves guiding product development teams on regulatory compliance for new and existing products, participating in concept reviews for new products and ingredients, global formula approval, label development, international claims substantiation, and business continuance activities. Collaboration with global regulatory affiliates will be essential to ensure global acceptability and compliance of Amway products. Opportunities may arise to work on ingredient testing with our internal Sciences team and global third-party testing labs. This position offers a strategic focus and involves significant global collaboration.
A Day in the Life:
A typical day will involve a mix of individual work and collaborative meetings. You can expect to dedicate approximately 70% of your time to focused tasks such as analyzing raw materials, updating databases, reviewing artwork and product labels (ECMs), and communicating with global affiliates. The remaining 30% involves engaging in cross-functional team meetings to discuss project progress and regulatory updates. While most meetings occur during standard business hours, occasional evening calls may be necessary to accommodate international time zones. This role offers flexibility in managing your time to accommodate these calls.
Regular team meetings and one-on-one check-ins with your manager will provide support and guidance. Success in this role is measured by metrics such as turnaround time for assessments, "right first time" completion of tasks, and the quality of communication with stakeholders.
Required qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of regulatory or product development experience within the beauty, cosmetics, or personal care consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • BS degree in a Science or Engineering discipline

Skills to be successful in the role:
  • Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance and in interpreting regulatory issues
  • Global exposure with experience working cross-functionally and on global project teams
  • Talent to communicate across cultures, with the potential to influence stakeholders
  • Ability to read and interpret the impact of regulatory changes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, project management skills, deadline adherence, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Talent to collaborate with internal and external partners to bring projects forward to completion
  • Ability to offer thought leadership and strategic recommendations for improvements

Amway does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. Do not apply for this role if you will need Amway immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT, TN, etc.) now or in the future.
What's special about this team:
This high-energy, flexible team functions as a progressive global group that ensures product compliance and safety in every step of the product lifecycle. Working with cross-functional teams we provide counsel on ingredient acceptability, product formulation design, product labeling, claims, and registration requirements. In partnership with our global colleagues, we also monitor and interpret the impact of current, pending, and future ingredient regulations to ensure our portfolio maintains compliance. If you would enjoy working on a technical, global, cross-functional team, this is a terrific opportunity to showcase your skills!
