Locum NP/PA Pediatrics Critical Care Opening – New York

Job Details:

Shift Type: Rotating 13-hour day/evening/night shifts

Position Overview:

The Pediatric Critical Care team is seeking an experienced NP or PA to join a multidisciplinary Pediatric Cardiac Care Center with additional opportunities supporting the PICU and pediatric sedation service.

The APP will work closely with pediatric intensivists, cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams managing critically ill pediatric patients with complex medical conditions. Responsibilities include patient evaluation and management, treatment planning, procedures, multidisciplinary rounds, care coordination, and family support throughout the patient care process.

The provider will also participate in education for APP students, residents, and fellows along with quality improvement initiatives and hospital committee involvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pediatric Acute Care NP or PA certification
  • 1–2 years of pediatric critical care or acute care experience preferred
  • Strong communication and team-based care skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high acuity pediatric environment

NP Requirements:

  • Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Active New York RN license
  • Active New York NP license
  • National NP certification

PA Requirements:

  • Completion of ARC-PA approved PA program
  • Active New York PA license
  • NCCPA certification
