Job description

Registered Medication Aide (RMA) - 2nd Shift, Part-Time
Rosewood Village - Hollymead 2029 Lockwood Dr, Charlottesville, VA 22911
Part-Time | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience
Not a morning person? Good - we need you at 3.
Rosewood Village - Hollymead has a part-time 2nd shift RMA opening in our Assisted Living community. Sleep in, keep your daytime free for classes, appointments, family, or a second role - and spend your evenings doing work that actually matters, with residents who will be genuinely glad to see you walk in.
This schedule is a strong fit for PVCC students, RMAs balancing another position, or anyone who simply does their best work after noon.
Why This Shift Works
  • Your mornings and afternoons stay completely free
  • Evening med pass with a calmer building pace than the morning rush
  • Part-time hours that stay predictable - no surprise cancellations
  • A real path to more hours or full-time as openings come up
What You'll Do
  • Handle the evening medication pass and document accurately on the MAR
  • Help residents wind down their day - dinner support, evening routines, comfort
  • Watch for changes in condition and keep the nurse informed
  • Hand off cleanly to the overnight team
Requirements
  • Current Virginia RMA certification, in good standing with the Virginia Board of Nursing
  • Must be 18+
  • Prior senior care experience a plus, not a dealbreaker for the right RMA
  • CPR/First Aid preferred; background screening required (drug-free workplace)
What Hollymead Offers
  • Same-Day Pay via Dayforce Wallet
  • 401(k) with immediate vesting
  • Paid Time Off & Holiday Pay
  • Insurance options for eligible team members
  • A team culture under Spring Arbor Senior Living leadership that treats evening staff as core team - not an afterthought
One opening, evenings only - if 3-to-11 is your shift, apply today.
The Medication Assistant is to provide resident care services including assistance with self-administration of medication, to the residents in the Assisted Living area under the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD) according to scheduled duties and assist in maintaining a positive physical and social environment.
Areas of Responsibility
  • Able to approach all encounters with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Assist residents with medications as allowed under State guidelines.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care.
  • Work closely with and maintain daily communications with the Resident Services associates to ensure continuity of care and services is maintained for the residents.
  • Participate in resident activities and lead resident activities as needed.
  • Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, courteous manner with resident satisfaction a priority.
  • Other job duties assigned - see full job description.
Qualifications
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience with senior adults highly preferred.
  • May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on the state requirements; if licensed or certified, must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
  • Must possess current Medication Training certification.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.
  • Certification in CPR and first aid preferred or as required by the State.
  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems preferred.
