Job description

Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Mountainside (MTN)

Department Name: Long Term Care

Shift: Evening

Pay Range: $25.24 - $25.24 per hour

Job Overview:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will assist professional nursing staff by providing direct patient care and other support services in a long-term care facility.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current Certified Long-Term Care Facility Nursing Assistant certification
  • Placement on NJ Nurse Aide Registry
  • AHA BLS Certification
  • Basic computer skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with others

Preferred:

  • 6 months of experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Current Certified Long-Term Care Facility Nursing Assistant certification
  • Placement on NJ Nurse Aide Registry
  • AHA BLS Certification

Scheduling Requirements :

  • Evening Shift
  • Per Diem

Essential Functions:

  • Provides direct personal care of patients as directed by nurse and patient care plan
  • Bedside carry-over for all patient assignments and answering call lights for all patients on the unit in a timely manner
  • Recognizes and respects patient and family needs providing a comfortable culturally sensitive environment for care
  • Performs designated unit duties such as, but not limited to, restocking supplies at patient bedside, replacing suction bottles and maintaining order on the unit
  • Assists with laundry upon request
  • Answers telephone and relays messages when necessary
  • Performs all duties with a customer service focus
