Does anyone still use ICD-9?

Will AI replace medical coders?

AI technology is increasingly used to assist medical coders by automating routine coding tasks and improving accuracy. What is the highest paid medical coder job?

The highest paid medical coding roles are often senior or specialized positions such as Coding Managers, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Managers, or Coding Directors, which require extensive experience, certifications like CPC or CCS, and leadership skills. These roles typically offer higher salaries due to increased responsibility and expertise in complex coding systems and healthcare compliance.

Is there night shift for medical coders?

Night shifts are common for medical coders, especially in hospitals and large healthcare facilities that operate 24/7. Evening ICD-9 coders may work overnight or evening hours, often requiring strong attention to detail and familiarity with coding software.
