Job description

At The Escape Room USA, our Adventure Guides aren’t just employees—they are hosts, performers, and guardians of the guest experience. Each game is a live, interactive production, and our team plays a critical role in making every adventure unforgettable.

From high-stakes heists and time-travel missions to jailbreaks and world-saving scenarios, you’ll guide guests through cinematic, story-driven experiences where professionalism and presence matter as much as fun.

**Location: hiring for both our Westfield and Indianapolis locations**

This role is a great fit if you:

  • Have experience in acting, theater, improv, live entertainment, or immersive experiences
  • Have played escape rooms and understand puzzle flow, pacing, and guest psychology
  • Love storytelling, intrigue, and staying “in character” when the moment calls for it
  • Take pride in reliability, professionalism, and delivering polished guest experiences
  • Enjoy being part of a disciplined, collaborative team—not just showing up for a shift

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the primary host and guide for immersive escape room adventures
  • Monitor gameplay and deliver timely, thoughtful hints that enhance the story and momentum
  • Maintain the integrity of each experience—rules, narrative, safety, and flow
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with guests before, during, and after their adventure
  • Support operations with room resets, cleaning, organization, and inventory to professional standards

Professional Expectations:

  • Strong communication skills and confident guest interaction
  • Accountability, punctuality, and consistency
  • Ability to accept feedback and continuously improve performance
  • Professional appearance and demeanor required
  • Willingness to contribute beyond the game room as part of a high-functioning team

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to sit or remain stationary for up to 60 minutes while monitoring gameplay via video
  • Ability to follow procedures, scripts, and operational standards
  • Dependability and commitment to scheduled shifts
  • Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail

Position Details:

  • Compensation: $12–$14 per hour
  • Schedule: Part-time; evening and weekend availability preferred

If you’re looking for more than “just a job”—and want to be part of a professional, story-driven entertainment experience—we’d love to meet you.
