Position Overview:
Performs a variety of andrology and embryology services and procedures including endocrine assays, cryopreservation, assessment and preparation of semen for intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF), oocyte retrieval, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), assisted hatching, embryo transfer, and embryo and oocyte vitrification, and trophectoderm biopsy. Ensures chain of custody and adherence to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to safeguard patient privacy and maintain the highest level of quality control (QC) and assurance (QA). With exceptional attention to detail, supports extensive IVF-related paperwork and electronic medical records (EMR) data entry including laboratory checks and equipment maintenance.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's: Biology, chemistry, epidemiology, medical technology, physical science, reproductive laboratory science or related field or equivalent education/experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
5 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrated expertise in routine and some advance assisted reproductive technology (ART) lab procedures, including tissue culture, andrology, semen analysis, egg retrieval, assessment, and transfer, sperm and embryo cryopreservation and micromanipulation.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry, including current trends and best practices (both conceptual and practical) regarding IVF procedures, patient privacy, and local/state/federal regulations.
Exceptional attention to detail with time management and organization skills, including being an effective decision maker and expert delegator.
Robust knowledge of computer applications (word processing, spreadsheet design, and database application) as well as the ability to troubleshoot most essential laboratory and office equipment.
Prioritize and delegate assignments under varied and urgent conditions and work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Identify and solve complex problems based on the analysis of multiple sources of information while providing new perspectives on existing solutions.
Explain difficult or sensitive information and lab results clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Build working partnerships within the team, unit, or department and with other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
