Job description

Role Summary

The Technical Business Analyst drives business and data solutions across enterprise systems. This role operates at the intersection of business operations, application delivery, and data-driven initiatives, including AI-enabled use cases.

This position carries equal responsibility for solution definition, project execution, quality and governance validation, and AI/data-related initiatives. The role works closely with IT leadership to implement future-forward applications and processes while ensuring that core business operations remain stable and well supported.

The role requires a structured, detail-oriented individual who can lead assigned solution initiatives without direct authority over developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with IT leadership and development teams to implement new applications and process improvements aligned with business goals.
  • Drive AI-related initiatives through content development, use-case definition, and output validation.
  • Validate data outputs, ETL processes, and reports for accuracy and business alignment.
  • Lead business requirements gathering, documentation, and traceability from concept through delivery.
  • Coordinate project activities, including task tracking, dependencies, schedules, and stakeholder communication.
  • Define and execute quality processes, including test plans, UAT coordination, and defect management.
  • Ensure changes align with governance standards, controls, and audit expectations.
  • Support production systems by assisting with issue analysis, validation, and documentation updates.
  • Produce and maintain standard business and operational reports.

Required Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years as a Project Manager, Software Implementer, or Business Analyst working between IT and business teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional work without direct authority.

Core Skills (Required)

  • Business requirements and traceability

  • Data validation and reconciliation
  • Strong documentation and communication
  • Working knowledge of SQL or reporting tools
  • Understanding of governance, controls, and change management

Preferred / Plus

  • Experience supporting AI or automation initiatives
  • Exposure to data warehouses or ETL processes
  • Familiarity with IBM i or ERP environments
  • Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery models
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
