Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Data Analyst Director plays a key role in helpingCommunity Bible Church steward IT & Data with excellence to supportministry growth and decision-making. This individual will oversee the IT andData Teams, ensuring systems, reporting, and insights are clear, accurate, andactionable. With a strong understanding of trends, reporting, and emergingtechnologies, including AI integration, this role helps move the missionforward by turning data into meaningful next steps.

                  Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead and develop the IT & Database Teams, promoting aculture of teamwork, service, and excellence
  • Create tools and dashboards that present data in a clear andcompelling way with consistent definitions
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics(primarily within Rock RMS)
  • Analyze trends across campuses, ministries, and programs tosupport strategic decisions
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across allsystems
  • Partner with ministry leaders to identify reporting needsand provide clear, actionable insights
  • Partner with the executive team to design analyticaldeliverables (Rock RMS, reports, charts, etc) that address recurring strategicquestions and support ongoing decision-making
  • Lead the integration and implementation of AI tools andautomation to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage and optimize IT systems, infrastructure, andprocesses in collaboration with vendors and internal teams
  • Create streamlined, "one-stop" reporting solutions forexecutive leadership
  • Support data-driven initiatives related to group attendance,engagement, volunteer assimilation (Equip/All-Stars), and growth metrics
  • Train staff and leaders on reporting tools, dashboards, anddata best practices
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams on datainitiatives, integrations, and other system focused needs
  • Conduct comprehensive cross-functional data analysis touncover trends and insights

Budgeting & Stewardship

  • Develop and manage the IT& Database Department budget
  • Oversee purchasing, contracts, and vendor relationships to ensure wisefinancial stewardship
  • Evaluate and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality orsafety
  • Ensure accountability and proper documentation for all expenditures and projects

Other Duties

  • Maintain ongoing communication with leadership and staff regarding IT & Database needs andpriorities
  • Other duties as assigned

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is a regular full-time, in-person position (40hrs). Days and hours of work depend on the operational needs of the church. Evening, weekend, and holiday duties are needed as job duties demand.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

     Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to dothe following:

    • Musthave good or corrected vision as well as effective peripheral vision, depthperception, and the ability to adjust focus
    • Musthave good manual dexterity and be able to use repetitive motion of the handsand arms
    • Mustbe able to frequently stand and or walk for long periods of time
    • Mustbe able to move about inside and outside the building to perform a variety oftasks
    • Mustbe able to frequently and effectively communicate in both written and verbalform
    • Mustbe able to lift at least 50 lbs
    • Frequentlyreaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
    • Abilityto work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at alllevels of the organization

     EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor'sdegree in Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
    • Minimum 2 (2) years of experiencein data analysis, business intelligence, or demonstrated technicalproficiency in data visualization tools
    • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing projects ofvarying scope and complexity

     WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Duties are performed in a variety of settings to include,outside, office, and technical settings, where the work and general environmentmay be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that theemployee can effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the joband manage multiple projects in a service-oriented environment. Environmentalnoise levels are minimal.
