Leidos is seeking candidates for Data Specialist II positions to work on-site in support of the Department of Justice in Washington, DC. Be one of the first to dedicate your skills and talent to a newly formed division of the Department of Justice, National Fraud Enforcement Division.

In this role, you will gain many intangible skills, such as time and task management, critical thinking and problem solving, the ability to communicate complicated problems in a concise manner, as well as solve complex problems using available tools. The selected Data Specialist II candidates will work in a fast-paced and diverse environment and will have a management team that encourages your career development and growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs file manipulation, loading, conversion services, database indexing, and quality checks of loads.

  • Develops, evaluates and modifies methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications.

  • Responsible for ensuring that incoming productions are made pursuant to the applicable ESI specifications and when deficiencies are found, provides Senior Data Specialist with detailed notice of deficiencies.

  • Performs advanced tasks related to exporting data from contractor and DOJ databases, including: identifying data for export, confirming redactions and other markups, ensuring that exports comply with applicable ESI specifications, and quality check of exported data.

  • Develop, document, and maintain in the "Process and Procedure Manual" Processing Service procedures that adhere to policies.

  • Implement Processing Services in accordance with policies.

  • Process received data using industry standards.

  • Upload the processed data to the review platform.

  • Identify and implement approved opportunities for simplification, consolidation, automation, cost reduction and process improvement.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the capabilities and reduce the cost associated with the Processing Service.

Please Note: While work is on-site in the DC area, there is some potential for telework and remote work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires knowledge of litigation discovery process, and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) workflow.

  • Knowledge of Government's IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server-based applications preferred.

  • Working knowledge of personal computers, including Windows, document review software, and encryption methods.

  • Experience with LAW, IPRO, Relativity/RelOne, Nuix or other document processing platform.

  • At least two years' experience performing eDiscovery roles including but not limited to electronic files processing (EFP), image and data file conversion, data culling using review tools, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval, and data analysis.

  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree preferred in computer science or related field.

  • Familiarity with iCONECT, Relativity/RelOne, Axiom/FTK, MS Office Suite, and/or West LiveNote valued.

  • Experience with the accessing and handling of seized evidence.

  • Experience supporting large document reviews over 1 million records.

  • Experience with large IT and Cloud systems.

  • Knowledge of forensics.

  • Experience in search related technology.

  • Trial support experience helpful.

This position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum requirements. Leidos ensures that all provisions are satisfied. The pay for this position will be $41.82/hr.
