Job description

Evening Receptionist

The Orenda Center of Wellness is currently hiring for the role of a part time Evening Receptionist to run the front desk at our Outpatient services center located in downtown Frederick, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, learn quickly, and have strong professional phone skills. The office tasks that will be required may include but not be limited to, ensuring the housekeeping of the offices, answering the phones, taking messages, checking in/greeting of evening group clients, light administrative duties, collection of client drug screenings, transport of clients using company transport van (for group) and being point of contact for all visitors as they enter the center.

This position will report directly to the Executive Director of Outpatient Services and work concurrent with the evening group counselors. This role will require a team mentality, good work ethic and full understanding of client rights & HIPAA regulations. The ability to quickly adapt and adjust to changes will be indispensable as well as being able to handle a face paced office environment. Experience in the field of addictions and/or mental health services is preferred but not required.

A positive attitude and eagerness to learn will go a long way with our organization.

The required work schedule is:

Monday / Wednesday / Thursday

4p to 9p

Max of 15 to 20 hours per week

Job Requirements & Minimum Skills:

  • ED or high school diploma
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • Experience working in mental health, substance use or medical field. - (Not required but preferred)
  • Clear driving record (MD Preferred) and insurable under company coverage
  • Ability to follow pre-set schedules and have good time management skills
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Moderate computer skills and professional phone skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites or Google workspace
  • Experience in EMR systems. (Not required but preferred)
  • CPR/First Aid Certified

Position Offerings:

  • Competitive hourly rate: $17 to $20 hourly
  • 1.5 Week PTO per year with rollover options after 90 days (PT)
  • Time & Half for hours worked on company recognized holidays (8)
