About Powerskilz

Powerskilz is a growing youth education and enrichment program focused on helping students build academic knowledge, technology skills, creativity, leadership, confidence, and real-world life skills.

We are looking for passionate and engaging part-time teachers, tutors, instructors, educators, professionals, and subject-matter experts to join our team.

Our programs serve students approximately ages 6–18+, through tutoring, enrichment classes, workshops, camps, and special programs.

Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging, age-appropriate classes and activities.
  • Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Explain concepts clearly and adapt instruction to different learning styles.
  • Keep students actively involved through hands-on activities, discussions, projects, and practical exercises.
  • Encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving.
  • Manage classroom behavior professionally and respectfully.
  • Provide feedback and encouragement to students.
  • Prepare lesson plans or activities appropriate for the assigned program.
  • Communicate professionally with the Powerskilz team and, when appropriate, with parents/guardians.
  • Participate in a short teaching demonstration during the selection process if requested.

Teaching or tutoring experience is preferred, but we also welcome college students, recent graduates, STEM/technology professionals, working professionals, retired educators, coaches, and subject-matter experts who have a passion for teaching.

These are flexible part-time opportunities. Depending on program needs, instructors may teach:
