About the Role:
Mister Sparky in Fremont, CA is looking for a skilled Panel and EV Charger Installer Electrician to join our growing team! This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of the clean energy revolution while delivering top-notch electrical services to residential and commercial customers. If you're passionate about quality craftsmanship and cutting-edge EV technology, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Install, upgrade, and replace residential and commercial electrical panels to code
  • Install Level 2 and Level 3 EV charging stations for residential and commercial clients
  • Perform load calculations and electrical system assessments prior to panel upgrades
  • Coordinate with inspectors and obtain necessary permits for installations
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues related to panels and EV charging systems
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding project scope, timelines, and recommendations
  • Perform residential and commercial electrical panel upgrades, replacements, and installations
  • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot existing electrical panels and service equipment
  • Ensure all work meets NEC code requirements and local Fremont/California electrical standards
  • Coordinate utility shutoffs and communicate with PG&E as needed for service upgrades
  • Install subpanels, breakers, grounding systems, and surge protection devices
  • Document work completed, obtain necessary permits, and pass inspections
  • Provide excellent customer service by clearly explaining work performed and recommendations
Requirements:
  • Valid California Electrician Certification (Journeyman or higher preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in panel upgrades and/or EV charger installations
  • Strong knowledge of NEC codes and California electrical regulations
  • Strong knowledge of steps involved with panel upgrades and able to plan and execute them with apprentices
  • Hands-on experience a MUST with EV charge install and Panel upgrade work planned and executed by yourself.
  • Experience with major EV charging brands (ChargePoint, Tesla, Enel X, etc.) a plus
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in the field
