Job description

Asco is now looking for aHead of Programs Europe.The Head of Programs – Europe is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, customer satisfaction, contract execution and strategic direction of ASCO’s European program portfolio. The role translates the global Programs strategy into regional execution and is fully accountable for the European Programs P&L, customer relationships, portfolio governance and program management organization.

Accountabilities :
  • Own and lead the complete European Programs portfolio across all European sites
  • Deliver revenue, margin, cash flow and customer performance targets
  • Lead strategic customer relationships and act as executive escalation point for Europe
  • Own portfolio governance, risk management, contract performance and recovery initiatives
  • Lead and develop the European Program Management organization
  • Drive regional competitiveness, operational excellence and business performance improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to global portfolio strategy and long-term (existing) customer growth plan

1. Regional Business & Portfolio Leadership

  • Define and deploy the European Programs strategy aligned with global objectives
  • Govern portfolio performance through regular business reviews and corrective actions
  • Prioritize resources across sites and programs to maximize business performance
  • Lead decisions regarding program priorities, trade‑offs and escalation management
  • Support strategic planning for existing and future customer programs.
  • Hold full accountability for the European program portfolio P&L
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting and long‑range planning
  • Drive margin improvement, cost reduction and cash generation initiatives
  • Monitor business risks and opportunities affecting financial performance
  • Ensure achievement of revenue and profitability commitments
  • Serve as executive interface for key European customers
  • Lead major commercial discussions, negotiations and customer escalations
  • Oversee claims management, change management and contract execution
  • Support growth opportunities through contract extensions and additional business
  • Ensure long‑term customer satisfaction and retention
  • Support and further develop the program management processes in line with corporate guidelines
  • Lead the Program management team across Europe
  • Build organizational capability, succession plans and talent pipelines
  • Establish high‑performance and accountability culture
  • Drive collaboration across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and Business Development
  • Develop and sustain team operations in a matrixed organization through cross‑functional management
Profile Know How and Experience

Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related discipline; Master degree preferred

Language: Fluent in English and Dutch/French

  • 12+ years of aerospace, manufacturing or industrial leadership experience
  • Significant P&L accountability and portfolio leadership experienceDemonstrated success leading complex multinational customer programs
  • Executive stakeholder management and negotiation experience
  • Proven track record in building and developing teams
  • Drives for results
  • Skilled communicator (verbal and written) / Presentation skills
  • Able to manage competing priorities and conflict
  • Flexible (including travel flexibility)
