MBS operates satellites, ground stations, and secure communications networks to ensure that armed forces, government agencies, and businesses remain reliably connected anytime and anywhere.

As an owner-managed, mid-sized company specializing in satellite communications and space technology, we employ around 300 people across our locations in Germany, France, and Poland. With our own ground infrastructure, including the largest teleport in Germany, we have been developing and operating highly reliable satellite and data network communication solutions for government and industrial customers for over 45 years.

Join our New Space team and develop the software that operates satellite constellations. You will build and integrate mission-critical ground segment applications for Mission Control, Flight Dynamics, Mission Planning and Satellite Operations.

Your Mission
  • Develop and maintain mission-critical software for our satellite ground segment
  • Design and implement features for Mission Control, Mission Planning, Flight Dynamics and Satellite Operations
  • Integrate external systems and interfaces into our ground segment infrastructure
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, systems engineers and satellite operations teams
  • Improve the reliability, scalability and automation of our ground segment solutions
What You’ll Bring to the Mission
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in software development using Java, Kotlin, Python or a comparable programming language
  • Knowledge of satellite ground segment software, Mission Control Systems (e.g. YAMCS) and CCSDS and/or ECSS standards
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD and modern software development practices; knowledge of OISL is a plus
  • Required language skills: English – C1, German – A1
